Finally I added a Dolly Camera in Blender to animate the Camera around the play field … 🙂
Long time no updates … however today I proudly present a new concept, deviation from the original Blockout 3D presentation …
Proudly present a first concept of the main game window …
It should give you a glimpse how the game will look like … however be aware …
a lot will change 😉
Added some texture to the block and also a swooping sound effect.
It is also the first step to mobile devices, since a very basic UI was added …
so watch yourself 😉
Bitout is the next project!
First object created, and animation is working. I had some issues first with the object was
rotating only in local space … however now fixed it and it is perfectly rotation in world coordinates.
Unity has very handy parameter to the Rotate function … Space, one just need to know 🙂
The development of Free Fallin’ has been completed.
Currently it is up to Apple to approve the game and as soon as this happend
the game will be available at the App store !
After Bitanoid got released (alpha) in the Google Play Store yesterday, it was about time to think about
how to get some money back from the game.
Today I walked my first steps in the Google Play Store …
et voilà … today the “private alpha testing” has startet!
As we have now the gameplay basics ready it is about creating content and linking levels.
tatatataaa ! SINGLETON was introduced …
To save some states between the level a “gamemanager” singleton was introduced that
keeps track of the highscore and some other information.
And also 3 levels have been created with different kind of blocks.
There are now prefab (template) blocks in different colours. Ok this is obvious 🙂
Also there are blocks that can be hit only once, and blocks that can be hit up to 3 times until
they break. The condition of the block (1-hit, 2 hit, …) is indicated by special sprites out of
a sprite sheet showing fractured blocks.
And also an “unbreakable” block is also available now …
So progress is made, you can test it by yourself here!
Stay tuned for the next update!
Today the first prototype of the UI Menu System was implemented.
There is now a Start Screen as well as the Main Menu and you “you lost” screen. Yes it is still very basic and more than boring … but enough to show the menu working 🙂
And of course the playable version can be found here:
